Each year under the artistic direction of Anne Blackwell, York County Ballet produces 2 full length ballets, The Nutcracker, and in the spring a ballet from our growing repertoire of classical and original works. Winthrop University’s Johnson Hall is leased as the venue for each production.
York County Ballet is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501c3 organization. As such, it relies heavily on the generosity of community sponsors like you. Each ballet cost approximately $19000.00 to produce, roughly $38000.00 each year. Each ballet has five public performances (over 1600 people with a program, and your ad, in their hands).
In addition, York County Ballet dedicates a private morning performance for local and regional students who would likely never experience the art of ballet or any other fully produced live theatrical performance. We work with teachers prior to the school performance to integrate the ballet into everyday lesson plans. Your generosity will help us continue this time honored tradition.
York County Ballet simply could not continue its service tradition without its gracious sponsors.
